Contrasts & Complements in World Theatre

course 2

This course delves into the rich and diverse traditions of world theatre by focusing on both universal themes and cultural diversity. Each week, participants will engage with contemporary theatre practices and examine contrasting or complementary themes from different regions and periods.

What to Expect:
Interactive Workshops: Engage in physical games, acting drills, and improvisation exercises that highlight universal themes such as love, power, identity, and betrayal.
Cultural Exploration: Experience diverse theatrical traditions through movement exercises, scene studies, and collaborative projects.
Creative Expression: Develop writing skills through exercises that blend elements from different cultures, culminating in original scene creations.
Performance Opportunities: Present group scenes that embody universal themes using diverse theatrical styles, receiving constructive feedback from peers.
